Henrietta Lacks response to quote
I wholeheartedly disagree with this. I am proud and happy over what my cells have done for science. They have helped so many people by creating a polio and an HPV vaccine. However, my husband and my kids have always meant the most to me, and I put their wellbeing before anyone else's. They are poor and suffering from many health problems. They all have Hugh blood pressure and diabetes, my husband Day even lost a foot from it. They're problems could easily be helped if they had any money from my cells. While I am incredibly happy that my cells have helped so many people, I only wish the doctors who took them could help my family too
